I often wonder if what I am doing is enough. Do I love enough, give enough, share enough, clean enough, laugh enough, pray enough, study enough, help enough, pretty much anything...do I do it enough. Now don't get me wrong, I am not feeling as if I don't measure up (whatever that means anyway). I am feeling like maybe I can do more, but where will I fit it in? I feel like I don't know what "enough" is. There are times that I could give, give, give and never feel like it's enough and then there are times when I wonder if I have enough time for myself. Do we ever master balance? Can I ever be balanced? Is it selfish to wonder if there is enough anything for me? What is "just enough"?
I found this quoted in a talk by Harold B Lee
"Enough happiness to keep you sweet,
Enough trials to keep you strong,
Enough sorrow to keep you human,
Enough hope to keep you happy,
Enough failure to keep you humble,
Enough success to keep you eager,
Enough wealth to meet your needs,
Enough enthusiasm to look forward,
Enough friends to give you comfort,
Enough faith to banish depression,
Enough determination to make each day better than yesterday."
